We are learning to fix surface features. Surface features our little bits in your writing.
We had to fix our writing if too many words that wear the same.We also had to fix full stops and capital letters. Surface features are punctuation,repeated words,spelling.we need to use surface features and makes our writing easier for people other to read.This is a sentence without surface features thissentsaChulymakessen Zbuttisrellyhrd to reed the sentence does not have punctuation,repeated words,spelling.
On our room nine site our teacher put a link to a story and we had to fix it.We made a copy of it for our own story and read it once and put in full stop at the end of the sentence.
Next we had to read it again we highlight the most repeated words we had to and fix the most repeated words.
We had to read the third time it sound easier but we had to figure out what sentences started the same way.

I work with some children and we use a programme called Colourful Semantics.The children need to add adjectives,nouns,verbs and prepositions to make their story more interesting.
